Not related to this intriguing list, I have been meaning to tell you two that I finally got around to making your pumpkin pie -- this one -- and it was crazy-delicious. I had that pie bookmarked seemingly forever, completely sold on the idea that it is indeed ambrosial, but apparently I've been having Thanksgivings in restaurants for years now and just didn't get to it. Mmm, hmm, it's damn good pie.

hey, TBC,
better late than never, and better here than nowhere--glad you found it so crazy-delicious--when I crave pumpkin pie, that's the pie I crave--haven't had some since October--might have to revisit that one before we get any closer to xmas

Anvil's a great film. Touching, too.

Hi, Leigh,
yeah, that's it: it's a touching, sweet, mildly heartbreaking film about a metal band whose reputation was based on mad antics and seriously heavy chops (20-25 years earlier)--best metal film since the days of Heavy Metal Parking Lot and The Decline of Western Civilization, Pt 2

thanks for weighing in
