South of the Border

No, not here:

fig. a: Pedro's South of the Border, Dillon, SC

Quite a ways further south, actually.

All the way down here:

fig. b: Spaceship Earth, EPCOT, Florida

Yes, Spaceship Earth bears a certain resemblance to a couple of Montreal icons:

fig. c: U.S. Pavilion, Expo 67, Montreal, QC

Gibeau Orange Julep fig. d: Gibeau Orange Julep, Montreal, QC

But it turns out that's not all that Montreal and EPCOT share in common.

F.Y.I.

What, no poutine?

Man, I can't wait for the world to be exposed to Montreal classics like cheddar cheese soup or spicy chicken sausage with polenta!

Now, now, at least they're trying. But, believe it or not, they *have* added poutine to their Canadian pavilion steakhouse menu... Not sure if that counts as authentic or not.

Thanks again for the great food on Saturday! That ham was truly hamtastic.
